Sub-Inspector Jagadish's pistol recovered from Mantralaya lodge

The accused had checked into “Shrikara” lodge at Mantrayala after visiting the temple

RAICHUR: The police team investigating the murder of Sub-Inspector Jagadish has recovered the pistol belonging to the slain officer from a lodge in Mantralaya near here. Based on the information that the accused murderers Gonne Madhu and Harish Babu had taken shelter at Mantrayala a day after committing the offence, the police team led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendrakumar, which is investigating the case, brought them to Mantralaya on Sunday.

The accused had checked into “Shrikara” lodge at Mantrayala after visiting the temple. When the police team took them to the lodge, the accused persons showed the revolver and also the bullets hidden in the lodge, which were seized by the team. On inquiry it was revealed that the accused had taken the room under fictitious names. After checking out of the room the next day, the accused left for Kurnool where they mortgaged stolen gold ornaments before proceeding to Nagpur. The police team has left for Kurnool to recover the ornaments from one Hanumantharamu.
