Pinarayi Vijayan mocks Divakaran on pro-VS Achuthanandan statement
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday ridiculed CPI legislature party leader C Divakaran for his statement that Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan will lead the LDF in Assembly polls next year.
At a face to face programme here the CPM leader said; “If a person like me who is not part of CPI says that Divakaran has contested two terms, he has been a good minister and performed well as opposition leader, hence he should be fielded as a candidate in the coming Assembly polls. What will be CPI’s reaction and how will Divakaran respond? Wouldn’t they consider statement as boisterous?
On Muslim League, Pinarayi said that the CPM was not nursing any dreams about that party. “We have already evaluated the Muslim League. There is no need for fresh evaluation. The League is a powerful ally of the UDF,” he added.
He said SNDP was not a pocket organisation of any family or individual. The members of the community are against any attempt to push SNDP which emerged from social reform movement, into the Sangh Parivar camp.
CPM politburo member said it is unfortunate that chief minister of the state who should have been in the forefront to attack the RSS over the lynching over beef, burning alive of two dalit kids in Haryana kept his silence. This indirectly justified the heinous act RSS
He said BJP was led by RSS which is organising attacks on the minorities’ across the state. “They follow the philosophy of Guru Golwalkar who hailed Hitler’s attack on Jews. He wanted the same formula to be emulated in the country against Muslims,” he said and added that RSS considered the CPM and Left parties as enemies because of the fight against communalism .
Pinarayi said the BJP had not fulfilled its promise of controlling the rising prices of essential commodities. The BJP is implementing Congress policies across the country. The CPM leader said Consumerfed had collapsed in the state.
