Hyderabad: The Metro Rail has successfully completed its first test run between Miyapur to SR Nagar, including the Bharat Nagar Rail Over Bridge.
The test run includes aspects of track, signalling, overhead electrical equipment and other systems. V.B. Gadgil, managing director of L&T Metro Rail, said, “Trial runs of the trains will commence once the test runs are successfully completed. In a test run we check the workability of all our systems and their coordination with each other.”
In a trial run, the trains will operate according to the timetable and also their response systems in case of emergencies will be checked.
The trial runs are carried out to check the simulation aspects at the railway stations and on the tracks as well as the safety aspect of the passengers.
