Watch: NYC Park hosts Halloween parade for dogs
Even dogs are very much parts of the celebrations this Halloween season with Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park being the venue for United States’ largest Halloween dog parade. The event, which took place last Saturday, had 300 four-legged contestants all decked up in eye-catching costumes.
The pooches were sporting a variety of theme costumes – a pug as seen dressed as cute spider, one dog was painted with tiger stripes and another lap dog was strikingly dressed in a 19th century style ladies dress complete with a wig of long curly hair.
Their owners were equally enthusiastic with most of them showing up in costumes coordinated with their pets’. One cute little puppy, who was dressed up as a fish, was accompanied by its owner, clad in a fisherman’s costume for the occasion.
