Jared Leto, who will be playing famed comic book character The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad, revealed in an interview that he went through a “period of detachment” while essaying the role in the movie.
“There was definitely a period of… detachment,” Jared told Empire, “I took a pretty deep dive,” adding that the process was very painful and intense. But he also said that he was glad to have the opportunity to play the character, and “couldn’t imagine doing it another way”.
