Temporary assembly at Tullur
Hyderabad: AP Assembly speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao has decided to submit a report to the state government on the expenditure for the construction of temporary Assembly buildings at Tullur.
Speaker Kodela, on Saturday, held discussion with AP Roads & Buildings officials regarding this and the meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary B. Sam Bob, engineer-in-chief Gangadharam, Central Buildings works executive engineer Maheswar Reddy and AP Assembly secretary Satyanarayana and others.
The Speaker said the final decision on this would be left to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as the state government is in financial problems.
The meeting mainly discussed about who should be allotted the works, if the state government accepts the proposal of constructing temporary Assembly building at Tullur. Some have suggested giving the works on nomination basis to complete as the time left is very short.
However, to avoid problems, the meeting has decided to follow the existing tender process to allot the works which was supported by Speaker Kodela. He also accepted that the Assembly would bear the expenditure for accommodation, food and transportation of the members.
For the construction of temporary Assembly building at Tullur, several private and public institutions come forward like national-level event management agency KMK. KMK said it would even provide food and transportation to the members.
