The ministers gave away a solatium of Rs 3 lakh to each family

Chennai: AIADMK ministers and district secretaries across the state on Saturday called on the bereaving members of 12 families which lost its relatives due to suicides following the conviction of the Chief Minister in assets case. (She and others were later acquitted by the Karnataka high court.) The ministers gave away a solatium of Rs 3 lakh to each family.
The ministers paid homage to deceased party workers in North Chennai, Dharmapuri, Tiruchy, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Pudukottai districts. They advised the family members to work for the party’s victory in the ensuing Assembly polls as it would be the only fitting tribute to the departed souls who died for the party and their leader.
