More proof on Vellapally deals: VS Achuthanandan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan on Saturday hit out at SNDP general secretary Vellapally Natesan and promised to bring out more evidence about his corrupt deals.
He accused Natesan of duping poor members of the Ezhava community in the name of micro finance, admissions and appointments in SN institutions. By comparing himself with R Shankar, Vellapally had actually insulted the great leader, he added.
The veteran leader said that it was under Shankar’s leadership that SNDP acquired most assets. “I am collecting details of Natesan’s wrong doings which have completely ruined the educational and other institutions functioning under SN Trust. I will bring these details in public domain soon,” Achuthanandan added.
He said the SNDP general secretary had taken crores of rupees through admissions and appointments in these educational institutions which had not been accounted for and the money had been siphoned off by his family .
Had Shankar been alive today, he would have led the agitation against Nateasan for duping poor Ezhava comunity women in the name of microfinance, Achuthanandan said.
The opposition leader said that though there were differences between Mannathu Padmanabhan and R Shankar in those days there were no chathurvarna supporting RSS representatives of Nagpur when they talked about Hindu unity .
However, today RSS-BJP and chief minister Oommen Chandy are standing on either sides of Natesan.
He said Natesan had joined hands with Amit Shah in the name of Hindu unity to prevent unearthing of his corruption .
