Hyderabad: YSR Congress senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is mincing words on special category status when leaders of his own party are questioning him about it.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Mr Botsa said it was not soil and water that was expected of the PM but respecting the sentiments of the people and according special category status. He reiterated that their struggle would continue till special status is achieved.
“Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has minced words while asking for special category status and special package when the PM visited Uddandara-yunipalem and this exposes his double speak. He is cheating the public,” Mr Botsa said.
According to normal protocol, whenever the PM visits any state, he will seek a report from the concerned state about the expectations of the people and the party in power. Botsa said “Mr Naidu should reveal the report submitted and prove if the issues of special status, package have been included in it.”
