Bengaluru SI’s murder case: Accused taken to crime spot

BENGALURU: The Bengaluru Rural police probing the murder of SI S. Jagadish took both the accused, Harish Babu and Madhu, to the spot where the SI was stabbed to death and conducted mahazar on Saturday.
The police took the accused to the Turbo Honda showroom, from where the chase started. The accused were asked to show the place where they parked their two-wheelers and how they escaped from the showroom, towards which directions they ran, where Jagadish nabbed them, and how they attacked him.
The police had made elaborate security arrangements during the procedure and the entire process was video recorded. “Every minute detail about the incident has been recorded and the statements of the accused have been taken in this regard,” an official said.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the accused had gone to Mantralaya after the murder. “They had met Thimmakka after the murder and took a 12 gram gold chain from her before leaving to Kurnool. There, they met Hanumantharamu and took Rs 5,000 from him against the gold chain and had left to Mantralaya,” the official added.
Five bullets found: The police, who had recovered the service pistol of Jagadish from Kurnool, have found out that there were five bullets in the pistol.
“The accused said that they did not know how to operate the pistol and thus they had left it. Five bullets were found in the pistol that was seized,” police sources said.
