A senior police official said in Lucknow that the incident seems to be linked to witchcraft

Lucknow: In a shocking and bizarre incident, three men in Ghaziabad district dug out the body of a 26-year-old woman and raped her.
The woman has died while giving birth to her child and her body was found by the local residents nearly 20 feet away from the grave. The dead body was naked was revealed by the residents who informed the police after coming across the horrific sight.
The residents had also seen three men around the body. A senior police official said in Lucknow that the incident seems to be linked to witchcraft.
“According to the Indian Penal Code, there is no clear definition as ‘sex with the corpse’ but if an accused is proven guilty of such acts, he/she may be convicted under Section 297. Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code could also be invoked,” the official said.
