Bengaluru: It was a productive day on the courts for Saketh Myneni as he zoomed into the singles semifinals and doubles final in the AirAsia Open Challenger tournament at the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association, on Friday.
Myneni ousted fifth seed Yannick Mertens 6-3, 7-6 (6) before taking to court with Sanam Singh to earn a 6-4, 7-6 (3) win over Gerard Granollers and Adrian Menendez-Maceiras.
In the doubles final, the Indian duo will take on John Paul Fruttero and N. Vijay Sundar Prasanth, who prevailing 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 in their semifinal clash over Ti Chen and Dane Propoggia. It took the third seed Myneni all of 90 minutes to book his spot in the last-four.
