Kurnool: Famous personalities of India have paid a visit to Mantralayam on Friday. The chairman of Kingfisher Airlines Vijay Mallya and Tamil Nadu minister for Animal Husbandry Chennaiah offered prayers to Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple at Mantralayam.
Mr Vijay Mallya first received a bounty of blessings from the village goddess Manchalamma. Later he visited the Mula Brindavanam of Raghavendra Swamy and offered prayers.
Mr Chennaiah also visited the famous temple of Sri Raghavendra Swamy along with his family members but was directed by the temple priests to go to the village goddess Manchalamma first to offer prayers. Later, they offered special prayers to Raghavendra Swamy at Mula Brindavanam.
Earlier the temple priests received both the personalities with temple honours and presented them Raghavendra Swamy Ji mementos. Mr Bala Nagi Reddy, MLA, Mantralayam, also visited Raghavendra Swamy Temple and donated '1 lakh for the development of the temple.
