Vellappally Natesan asks G Sukumaran Nair to clarify

Sukumaran Nair should make clear the intention of R. Shankar and Mannath Padmanabhan who had tried for Hindu unity

KOLLAM: SNDP general secretary Vellappally Natesan has asked NSS general secretary G. Sukumaran Nair to clarify his stand against a broad Hindu unity.

“Sukumaran Nair should make clear the intention of R. Shankar and Mannath Padmanabhan who had tried for Hindu unity,” he said here on Friday.

Responding to Mr Nair’s comment that the Hindu unity move was an attempt by Mr Vellappally to hide his misdeeds, he said, “it is not clear in which sense Sukumaran Nair has said this. He should clarify this. Sukumaran Nair and P. K. Narayana Panikkar had come forward with the idea of a broad Hindu unity by bringing together Nayadi to Namboodiri. But Sukumaran Nair should clarify why he has gone back on the idea,” Mr Vellappally said.

“Hindu unity was the idea and dream of R. Shankar and Mannam. Panikkar and Sukumaran Nair at first had cooperated with the SNDP Yogam to achieve their unfulfilled dream, but later withdrew. This is the best time to go forward with the idea of a broad Hindu unity and the Yogam will move ahead with this,” he said.
