Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police has imposed traffic restrictions on Saturday in view of the Bibi ka Alam procession on the occasion of Muharram. The restrictions will be effective from 11 am to 9 pm.
The restrictions are as follows: Traffic barred towards Alawa Bibi, diversion at Sunargalli T- Junction, towards Dabeerpura Darwaza and Yakutpura Nala. Traffic barred towards Shaik Faiz Kaman, diversion at Jabbar Hotel, towards Dabeerpura Darwaza and Chanchalguda.
Traffic barred from Yakuthpura railway station towards Shaik Faiz Kaman, diversion at Bada Bazar T Junction, towards Rein Bazar and Talab Katta. Traffic from Purani Haveli (Durru Shehvar Hospital) barred towards route of procession i.e. Etebar Chowk, diversion at diverted at Purani Haveli X Roads, towards Peeligate and S.J. Rotary.
When procession reaches Ethebar Chowk, traffic from Mitti Ka Sher will be diverted at Gulzar House, towards Madina X Roads and Charminar. Traffic from Moghalpura water tank barred towards Chowk Maidan Khan, diversion at Hafez Danka Mosque, towards Paris Cafe and Bibi Bazar. When procession reaches Alijah Kotla, traffic Himmatpura X Roads will be barred towards Charminar, diversion at Punchmohalla, towards Moghalpura fire station and Chowmohalla Palace.
Traffic from Puranapul barred towards Charminar, diversion at Motigalli, towards Mitti ka Sher and Chowmohalla Palace (Khilwath). Traffic from Shakkerkote barred towards Gulzar House, diversion at Mitti Ka Sher, towards Ghansi Bazar and Chelapura.
When procession reaches Alijah Kotla, traffic from Nayapul will not be allowed towards Charminar, diversion at Madina X Roads towards City College. When procession reaches Miralam Mandi, traffic from Chaderghat Rotary, Noorkhan Bazar, Salarjung Museum and Shivaji Bridge barred towards Purani Haveli and will be diverted at Salarjung Rotary towards Nayapul.
When procession reaches Alawa Sartouq, traffic from Chaderghat Rotary will be barred towards Kali Khabar, diversion at Shanti Lodge towards Chaderghat Bridge. Traffic from Gowliguda barred towards Aza Khana Zohra via Salar Jung Bridge; vehicles will be diverted towards Afzalgunj from Gowliguda side of Salar Jung Bridge.
RTC district buses will be diverted to Gowliguda and Rang Mahal Road for entry and exit from 10 am to 9 pm. Buses will not be allowed on the Kalikhabar Road till the procession terminates.
Secunderabad:
In Secunderabad, traffic restrictions will be imposed from 4 pm to 8.30 pm on Saturday. Traffic proceeding from Hyderabad via Tank Bund towards Karbala Maidan will be diverted at Children’s Park towards Kavadiguda, Bible House and RP Road.
Traffic from RP Road towards Karbala Maidan will be diverted at traffic island near Begumpet Traffic PS, Secunderabad (Bible House) and will join Tank Bund Road at DBR Mills T Junction.
Mahatma Gandhi Road between the Central Telegraph Island and Ranigunj will be one way towards Ranigunj. Traffic will be diverted at Ranigunj Junction towards Ministers Road, depending upon the situation.
