Congress slams KCR, Chandrababu Naidu for ‘match-fixing’

'KCR, Naidu came together to hush up 'cash-for-vote' and 'phone tapping' cases'

Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mr Mohd Ali Shabbir alleged that the “trim-urthy of liars” — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao — had cheated the Telugus of both states.

He also said Mr Rao and Mr Naidu had come together to hush up the “cash-for-vote” and “phone tapping” cases. “We are aware of the entire agenda. We will expose the details of who liaised between them,” he said.

Mr Shabbir and Congress MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy said the threesome had perfectly acted in the “Amaravati cinema” and took people for a royal ride.

“AP people expected an announcement of Special Status for the state and fulfillment of other promises listed in the AP Reorganis-ation Act for both states. But nothing came out of it barring mere promises,” he remarked.

Mr Ali also condemned Mr Rao’s silence over the PM’s remarks that AP had been bifurcated in a haphazard manner. “He should have either boycotted the event or at least reacted to the PM’s remarks on bifurcation. By endorsing PM’s statement with his silence, he has insulted hundreds of martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana. The CM should tender an apology," he remarked.
