Sogetsu School of Ikebana at Alankritha Art Gallery
Ikebana International (Hyderabad Chapter 250) arranged an exhibition on Ikebana from the Ohara and Sogetsu School of Ikebana at Alankritha Art Gallery.
The participating artists Sita Sastary, G. Bhargavi, Uma Prasad, Vijaya Durga Konidela, Reena Gupta, Vandana Pai, Anisha Tandon, Snehalatha Ravindra Rekha Reddy, Meenakshi Sujanani, Sukanya Reddy, Vijaya Raghavi, Nirmala Agarwal, Padma Duvvuri, Sumalatha, Deepti Yajnik, Sharda Reddy and Shashi Kola created Ikebana in co-relation to the art works of Udaya Chiluveru. According to Prashanti Goel, owner of Alankritha Art Gallery, “images of the art works of Udaya Chiluveru were given to all members of Ikebana International for creating corresponding and interactive flower arrangements. This is one of the very rare forms and an attempt to merge the art form of canvas with live flower arrangements”.
