Story of rise and rise of the Lingamaneni group

LEPL has recently struck an agreement with the AP Tourism
Hyderabad: The LEPL Group has come into the focus recently thanks to its huge land bank in the capital region of Amaravati. The group, meanwhile, has brushed aside allegations that it has been bagging all projects during CM Chandrababu Naidu’s regime and has stated that most of them are decades old. LEPL has recently struck an agreement with the AP Tourism department for setting up amusement parks in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.
Started in 1983 as Lingamaneni Estates for real estate activities, construction and contracting business, LEPL Projects today has huge influence in the newly reorganised state of AP. The group is promoted by LEPL group chairman, L. Poorna Bhaskara Rao and his relative L.V.S. Rajasekhar, managing director of Air Costa and chairman of CII Vijayawada and Ramesh Lingamaneni, chairman of Air Costa.
LEPL (power) chief executive officer Krishna Kumar said, “We, along with Excel World, have an agreement with the AP government for setting up water and amusement parks in three cities. It is in the MOU stage. Depending on the viability factor we will go ahead with it.”
A year ago Air Costa, Trujet and Spicejet had signed an MOU with APTDC for a Tirupati package. "Now Air Costa has signed an agreement with APTDC specifically for NRIs and the Hindu diaspora for packages to all religious places including Tirupati," said Mr Krishna Kumar.
