Andhra Pradesh to sign Memorandum of Understanding with Japan

Vijayawada: The state government will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Japanese government three hours before the Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony begins, on development of infrastructure in the new capital.
Japanese minister for economy trade and industry Yosuke Takagi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would attend the function.
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and AP government would sign the MoU, as per a release by the CRDA.
This is primarily for infra and industrial development, sources said. Finer details will be worked out soon, government sources said.
Amaravati a major hit online
Even before it’s born, Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravati has started trending on social media giant Facebook in a big way. Since Wednesday morning, netizens began sharing hashtags related to Amaravati’ much-hyped foundation stone-laying ceremony. Among the trending hashtags is #manaamaravatiamanarajadhani which is being avidly promoted by supporters of the capital city starting from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to a large number of youngsters.
