Hyderabad/Vijayawada: The foundation stone for construction and development of the AP riverfront capital city Amaravati, the dream of five crore people of Andhra Pradesh, will be laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, coinciding with Dasara festivities in the state as well as the entire country.

All arrangements are in place for the successful conduct of the biggest and most prestigious event of Andhra Pradesh since bifurcation. As Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu himself put it: “It is a responsibility given to me by the people of the state. It is a challenge but I take it as an opportunity to live up to the expectations of the people and develop a world-class capital. The first challenge is to complete the construction of the first phase of the capital city by 2018,” he elaborated.
