Thampi alleged that BJP had destroyed his posters and banners

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: UDF candidate from Pangode ward R Narayanan Thampi on Tuesday accused the BJP of disrupting his election campaign.
At a press conference here, Thampi alleged that BJP had destroyed his posters and banners. He said some people even tried to assault him on Monday.
“I have filed a complaint with the police in connection with the incident,” he added.
The UDF candidate said he had withdrawn from the campaign and would hold a satyagraha in front of secretariat till the authorities concerned provided adequate security .
