Swami Saswathikananda’s kin seek fresh probe into his death
Saswathikananda's other siblings Sakunthala, Vijayan and Rajan were also present

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The relatives of former Sivagiri mutt head Swami Saswathikananda approached Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Tuesday seeking a re-investigation into the death of the swami in the wake of fresh revelations.
They told reporters later that the chief minister promised to take a decision on the matter after consulting Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
He also said that the Crime Branch which has already probed the case did not receive any evidence of a murder. Hence, a re-investigation was not possible.
However, he said that in case of any fresh evidence, a further probe could be ordered, said Saswathikananda's sister Santha.
Apart from Santha, Saswathikananda's other siblings Sakunthala, Vijayan and Rajan were also present.
