Arun Jaitley says engage in debate, not vandalism

New Delhi: Union finance minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Tuesday condemned the increasing incidents of intolerance and vandalism and called for a “civilized mode” of discussing and debating issues.

Mr Jaitley’s appeal comes amid growing concern within the Narendra Modi-led government and the ruling BJP over incidents like the Dadri lynching, the cancellation of Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s Mumbai concert and the ink attacks on Sudheendra Kulkarni and Jammu and Kashmir MLA Engineer Rashid.
