Artist gives her parents’ home the ultimate Halloween makeover

Unlike most people who are content with placing a Jack-o-lanterns designed pumpkins and a few spooky-themed cut-decorations outside their home, Gothic artist Christine McConnell made sure that her parents’ house would stand out from the rest in the neighbourhood by all standards.

McConnell, who is also a baker and photographer, toiled for three days to ready the decorations and an entire day to photograph it. Amazingly, the elaborate setup cost her around just $250. All the tasks – cutting the boards, painting, installing, lighting and photographing – were done by her alone.

She says that not just her parents but even her older neighbours, who she has known since childhood, were impressed with her masterpiece, according to the Metro.
