Engage in a battle for the stars
EA has revealed some new modes and the season pass content details regarding their upcoming shooter, Star Wars: Battlefront.
Hero Hunt will be a 7v1 mode where one player, taking the role of an iconic character from the Star Wars universe, is tasked with defeating 7 other players. Whoever defeats the hero must then face off against the others.
Cargo is the Battlefront version of capture the flag where players must capture cargo boxes of the other team and bring it to your base. Their own cargo is not required to be at base for the team to score the point. Droid Run also plays similar to this, but players need to capture and hold Droids that are wandering around the map. Star Wars: Battlefront will launch with 9 multiplayer modes in total, including the previously announced Fighter Squadron and Winter Assault.
As expected, Star Wars: Battlefront will have an expensive season pass which gives players access to all of its DLC. This will include 4 expansion packs which will presumably consist of map packs for the game's different modes. Season pass holders will get two week early access to each expansion, as well as a “Shoot First” emote. This season pass is expected to be priced at more than Rs 3,000.
While a season pass will only add to the content and experience, today’s high pricetags are responsible for fragmenting the online community as only some end up shelling out the money for new content, something we have seen with likes of Titanfall and Battlefield.
