Ramya meets SM Krishna, says it’s a courtesy call
Ramya met S.M. Krishna and discussed various issues
Bengaluru: Former Mandya MP Ramya met senior leader of the party, S.M. Krishna on Monday and discussed various issues.
Emerging out of the meeting, Ms Ramya described her meeting as a courtesy call.
The former MP told the electronic media that she was not involved in a cheque return case. She claimed she was unnecessarily dragged into the case.
She said she did not ask for any post nor did she complain to high command against any leader.
As per the original plan, AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi was to visit Kottatti and Panakanahalli to visit families of farmers who committed suicide. However, as one of the farmers committed suicide a day before his visit to Mandya, he was taken to Sanabada Koppalu. He had to spend almost an hour there due to which he could not visit Kottatti. AICC general secretary Digivjay Singh reportedly asked Ambareesh to hand over the cheque. Mr Ambareesh reportedly gave the cheque to Mr Puttaraju a JD(S) MP from Mandya. This was taken note of by Ms Ramya who complained to party central leaders against Ambareesh. However, Ms Ramya denied this.
