Modi congratulates Justin Trudeau who is set to be Canada's PM
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated Justin Trudeau for his electoral victory that will make him the Prime Minister of Canada and said India attaches high priority to close ties with that country.
"Congratulations @JustinTrudeau for victory in Canadian parliamentary elections! We attach high priority to close ties with Canada," Modi tweeted. "We share a strong bond of democracy & inclusiveness enriched by a vibrant Indian diaspora," he added.
Modi recalled his meeting with Trudeau during his visit to Canada in April and posted pictures of them together on his Twitter handle. "I have fond memories of my visit to Canada in April 2015 and my meeting with you,"
