Bengaluru: Man murders second wife after quarrel
BENGALURU: In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old man brutally murdered his wife by hitting her on the head with a hammer and later bludgeoning her with a brick early Monday morning in Doddakallasandra in Hulimavu police station limits.
Siddique Pasha, a labourer and a resident of Bannerghatta police station limits was arrested by the police while he was going to the station to surrender in his blood-soaked shirt around 6am. Investigations reveal that the deceased Shaheeda, 40, working as an ayah in a school, was the mother of an eighth month old baby boy and was living alone in Doddakalasandra.
She was the second wife of Siddique Pasha. A native of Mysuru, Shaheeda was abandoned by her husband and had come to the city. She came in contact with Siddique following which they got married around two years ago.
But Pasha hid the truth about his illicit affair and the second marriage from his first wife. Shaheeda, who learnt about it, began persuading Pasha to leave his wife. Soon, the couple began fighting over the issue. On Monday, Pasha went to meet Shaheeda at her house in Doodakalasandra around 4.30 am and committed the gory act, said the police.
The murder came to light when the house owner heard loud cries of help and saw Pasha leaving the place after murdering Shaheeda. He immediately informed the police. At the time of the incident, Shaheeda’s son was not at home. The police have informed Shaheeda’s family who have come to the city. A case under section 302 of IPC has been registered in this connection.
