Bengaluru: Friends bludgeon man in brawl
BENGALURU: A 28-year-old man was allegedly bludgeoned to death by a gang of six friends in a drunken brawl, on Monday noon, in Mico Layout police station limits following a petty row.
Srinivas alias Seenu, a resident of Ragigudda and an alcoholic was working as a labourer. The murder is said to have been taken place at about 2 pm. A manhunt has been launched to nab Appu, Gopi, Sylvam and three others, said the police.
On Monday noon, Srinivas along with his six friends, all said to be involved in petty crimes decided to meet up in J P Mara Slums in Mico Layout police station limits following which they drank together.
While they were completely drunk an argument is said to have been broken out between them and in a fit of rage, Appu, Gopi along with four others bludgeoned Srinivas to death with the help of a brick and fled the spot.
The murder came to light after locals saw Srinivas lying in a pool of blood and immediately informed the police. Meanwhile, the deceased brother who also learnt about the attack rushed to the spot and later lodged a plaint with the police.
A case under section 302 of IPC is registered with Mico Layout police and probe is underway in this regard.
