Amaravati will be an attractive city, says Chandrababu Naidu
Tirumala: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said Amaravati will be an attractive city providing more job opportunities to the people. There will be blessings of Lord Venkateswara on the capital city, he said.
The TTD officials handed over to the chief minister sacred soil collected from seven sacred hills and water from seven sacred theerthams located on Tirumala hills after performing special poojas.
The chief minister symbolically carried a pot given to him on his head from the Mahadwaram to Srivari Kalyana Ratham. TTD Trust Board chairman Chadalawada Krish-namurthy, EO Sambasiva Rao, JEO Srinivasa Raju and other officials too accompanied him, carrying other pots. Later, all the pots will be taken to the venue.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Chandrababu said taking the holy soil and water from the hills to the new capital city on the day of Garuda Seva was an auspicious occasion indicating bright future for the capital.
He said that he wishes to make Amaravati one among the mega capital cities in the world. Apart from Tirumala, soil and water have been collected from 150 holy places in the country and all these would be mixed at the Bhumi Pooja.
He said he hoped to achieve the Herculean task of building the capital with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, who had given him rebirth, by saving him from the naxalites attack on ghat road, when he was the CM earlier.
Answering to a question, he said the state administration mulling over construction of a temple on par with Tirumala temple in the new capital region and he continued that great will power and strong decision taken by him would come to reality soon with people expected qualities like providing jobs etc.
Later, he along with his family members went to Annadanam canteen for lunch.
