The photos don’t prove anything: Krishna Shroff

Jackie & Ayesha Shroff’s daughter Krishna Shroff has again created a flutter among conservative elements for her bold pictures on a social network. She had posted some provocative pictures a month ago, And now she’s done it again.

She says, “Those pictures aren't meant to prove anything to anyone... They never were. They’re for myself.” She cannot understand why a fuss is being made over pictures that are put in her private space. “My Instagram page is my personal account to express myself. Like I've always said, I love artistic moody photographs, and that's what it is,” Krishna adds.

Revealing why she took the pictures, Krishna says, “My best friend and I were just experimenting with the camera. It was from the same day as the other pictures were taken.” Not that Krishna minds the attention. “I didn't even post them thinking it would be like an encore. In fact, I thought people would be over it by now. I guess I’m just super- interesting to a lot of people, and I’m okay with that. Who wouldn’t be?”

Krishna adds that she has plans for Bollywood, although voices in the industry think these pictures are Krishna’s portfolio for future stardom. The young lady reasons, “I guess it’s because people automatically assume every ‘star kid’ wants to be in front of the camera as an actor or in the limelight in some other way. I don’t blame them considering that that has been the norm for generations.”
