Amazon sues more than 1,000 people for ‘fake’ product reviews

The online retailer is suing some 1,144 people for misleading Amazon customers by posting fake product reviews online. The complaint was filed by Amazon Inc at the Seattle court on October 16.

Some individuals, as well as sellers, who use Fiverr’s gig marketplace, were noticed by Amazon to be posting fake Amazon reviews. The online reseller has mentioned these reviewers by their username in the lawsuit, and has demanded their real info from Fiverr’s log.
