Three childrens drowned in pond in Piler

Penumuru police has registered a case

Piler: Three children below 13 years of age drowned in ponds in different incidents in the district on Friday.

In Penumuru mandal, three 13-year-old girls Meena, Manjula and Ammulu of Yanadi colony of Guntipalle panchayat went to wash clothes at Dasara Kunta near Charwakaanipalli. After washing the clothes, the three girls wished to enjoy swimming and they had plunged into the waters.

Ammulu, daughter of Seenu and Seshamma of Yanadi Colony drowned when she went far off from the pond bund. The remaining two girls went to the village and informed their parents about the incident and the villagers rushed to the spot and fished out the body of the girl from the pond. Penumuru police has registered a case.

In Kalikiri, Aswanth, 6, son of Ganguraju and Muneendra, 7, son of Raju belonged to Vadavandlapalli of Guttapalem panchayat went to watch swimming by some youth belonged to the same village at Nallappa Cheruvu.

The two children are studying nursery in a private school dared to swim after the youth left the village tank. Both of them were drowned which came to light only after the two bodies came to the surface of the tank. The Kalikiri police has registered the case.
