Columbus will be arriving early!
The movie is yet to receive its censor board certification
The postponing of Akhil’s debut film Akhil means that other film makers in Tollywood are now planning to cash in on the festival holidays. Sumanth Ashwin’s film Columbus, which was supposed to be released in the second week of November will now hit theatres on October 22, on the occasion of Dasara.
“We decided to pre-pone the film and I am confident that it will work out. We worked very hard for this film and it’s a different love story,” says Sumanth.
The producers were hesitant at first and wondered if this would be a good move, but after consulting with his father and senior producer M.S. Raju and showing him the film, the decision was made.
While the film is completed, the movie is yet to receive its censor board certification, and producers are scrambling to get this done soon.
“The film will be censored on Monday. I watched the film and I’m sure it’s going to be hit.” says Raju. The film is directed by R. Samala, with Seerath Kapoor and Mishty Chakraborthy playing the female lead roles.
