Remember, the shelved movie planned by Pilla Zamindar director Ashok with Anushka in the lead? The latest buzz is that the UV Creations has taken up the historic movie Bhagamati again. But the director has started filming Chitrangada with Anjali and is said to be based on the same story.
However, sources say the two are different movies and the works of the Anushka-starrer will begin after the Anjali movie is wrapped. Ashok will narrate the story to Anushka in a couple of days and the project will start next year after the actress completes Baahubali 2 and Singam 3.
“Bhagamati is also a woman-centric film and Anushka is interested in it. With her popularity getting a boost with Rudhramadevi, the makers are eager to cast her,” the source added.
