CM Chandrababu Naidu to take key decisions after Amaravati capital foundation

CM likely to change some IAS and IPS officers after the ceremony
Hyderabad: After completion of Amaravati capital city foundation ceremony, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will take some major decisions including Cabinet reshuffle. In fact, Mr Naidu has completed the exercise on Cabinet reshuffle a few months ago and waiting for the right time. Mr Naidu government has completed nearly one-and-a- half years in the office. Mr Naidu has reports on the performance of ministers in this period.
The Chief Minister wants to induct some new faces into the Cabinet. According to close sources to the Chief Minister, at least four ministers may lose their Cabinet berths. Telugu Desam sources said in view of the Cabinet reshuffle some senior leaders were not accommodated in the party executive committees of AP state and central committee.
Some of them may get a chance in the Cabinet reshuffle. Prominent names among them are Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Gali Muddukrishnam Naidu and others.
TD MLA T. Sravan Kumar from Tadikonda constituency in Guntur district is likely to be inducted into the Cabinet. Mr Sravan Kumar played a key role in the land pooling for the new capital city Amaravati.
TD sources said Mr Naidu wants to take AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao into the Cabinet and replace him with Dhulipala Narendra, TD MLA from Ponnur constituency in Guntur district.
According to speculations in TD circle, the new faces in the Cabinet will be Magunta Srinivasa Reddy, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Gali Muddukrishnam Naidu, Payyavula Kesav, M.A. Sheriff, Modiyam Srinivasa Rao, Gummadi Sandhya Rani.
Meanwhile, Mr Naidu gave the green signal to APSRTC to hike the charges. RTC has sent proposals on hike of fares long back.
Recently in a meeting with Cabinet Sub-Committee on enhancement of RTC fares, Mr Naidu in principle agreed to allow hiking 3 paisa per km. But due to Amaravati foundation ceremony, the CM wanted officially to announce after this function. By hiking 3 paisa per km, RTC will get Rs 300 crore additional revenue.
The Chief Minister is likely to change some IAS and IPS officers after the Amaravati foundation ceremony.
Two IAS and one IPS officers are waiting for posting. Polavaram Project Autho-rity CEO Dinesh Kumar is returning to state government service. Some changes will be there for the existing IAS officers also. State government has to appoint so-me constitutional and other posts like State Election Commission, Lokayukta, Upa Lokayukta and others. Mr Naidu will take a decision in this issue also.
