Hyderabad: Manoj, the techie who allegedly raped a physiotherapist working at a private hospital in Bandlaguda area, was arrested by the police on Thursday.
Police said Manoj raped the victim twice when she went to his house to treat him. Later, he threatened to kill her four-year-old daughter when she refused to accept his proposal to have sexual intercourse with him.
The victim who is working as a physiotherapist at a private hospital in Bandlaguda area was allegedly raped twice in May and August by Manoj, who is her neighbour.
The victim used to regularly visit his house to treat him for a health problem.
During one of her visits he gave water mixed with sedatives to her, police said. “When she became unconscious he raped her. He raped her twice. Recently he started exploiting her sexually. When she resisted he threatened to kill her,” said Rajendranagar inspector V. Umender.
The victim in her complaint alleged that she contracted a sexually transmitted disease after Manoj raped her. The accused will be produced before court.
