Six farmers end life across Telangana
It was due to crop failure and mounting debts
Hyderabad: As many as six farmers committed suicide in TS on Thursday due to crop failure and mounting debts. Three suicides were reported from Mahbubnagar district, and one each from Medak, Karimnagar and Ranga Reddy districts. In Mahbubnagar district, Kavali Kondaiah, 45, of Balangar mandal, ended his life by hanging himself in his agricultural field, while Pedda Balakistappa, 55, of Maktal mandal jumped into a well.
Akki Raman Goud, 38, of Pebbair mandal consumed pesticide and died while being rushed to a hospital. In Medak district, Pitla Ravi, 25, of Thoguta mandal committed suicide by consuming pesticide. He died in Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment.
In Karimnagar district, woman farmer Elimela Laxmi, 35, of Raikal mandal committed suicide by hanging herself. In Ranga Reddy district, Chinna Ramaiah, 50, of Mominpet mandal ended his life by consuming pesticide.
