Hyderabad: Terming Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao a “U-turn Chief Minister”, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Shabbir Ali on Thursday said that Mr Rao had gone back several of his announcements and decisions during the last 15 months, the latest being the one on Metro Rail alignment in front of the Assembly building and Koti-Sultan Bazaar route.
Addressing reporters here, Mr Ali said that the CM took “immature” decisions and reversed them after a while. “KCR has become a U-turn CM. He took more than 15 U-turns in the last 15 months,” he said.
“Demolition of illegal buildings, Intensive Household Survey, FAST, shifting of Chest Hospital, shifting of Secretariat, construction of Vinayak Sagar, cleaning of Hussain Sagar, Telangana Kala Bharati at Indira Park, acquisition of Parade Ground, taking over of OU land, shifting of OGH, cheap liquor policy and even the promise of an all-party meeting on Pranahita-Chevella project are among the U-turns taken,” the Congress leader said.
