Jagan asks Naidu not to invite him to Amaravati foundation laying ceremony
Hyderabad: Opposition leader in the AP Assembly Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu not to invite him for the Amaravati foundation laying ceremony and he will not take part even if invited. While stating that he was not against the construction of AP capital, he has cited eight reasons for his reluctance to attend the event.
The YSRC chief claimed that he does not want to be part of the real estate scam wherein lands were given away to private and foreign companies. Forcibly taking land from people and violation of NGT order are some of the reasons Mr Reddy has cited.
Jagan alleged that benamis of Naidu has purchased lands in capital region. “The foundation is not for People’s capital. It is the foundation for realtors, foreign companies against the interests of the farmers in order to earn lakhs of crores of money,” he criticised.

Y S Jagan had written a three page letter to AP Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday. In the open letter he said ,”I have come to know through media that you are going to send invitations for AP Capital foundation day. Do not send any invite to me. Don’t put blame on me stating that even you have invited me I didn’t come. Your half a dozen ministers are ready to sling mud on me,”
Jagan alleged that three cropped lands are taken by threatening the farmers in the name of land pooling. “Why are the prohibitory orders in place in this area for the past one year. You neither have respected Green Tribunal order nor the people’s sentiment. Assigned lands of poor are also taken like your mother in laws property….” Jagan questioned Naidu.
“Centre has already granted Rs 1850 crore for capital. If Centre is ready to give all the funds as per AP reorganization act why do we need private companies and Singapore firms?” he questioned. Jagan said he is protesting against purchase of 100 of acres of land in the name of benamis in capital.
