Wheelchair-bound man re-learns to walk for his daughter’s wedding

This is the heart-warming moment when a cancer survivor dad defied all odds to walk his daughter down the aisle. Heather Duquette probably must have never imagined that her father would be able to give her away the traditional way on her special day but then fortunately destiny had other plans.

Her father, Ralph Duquette, who had been diagnosed with leukaemia in 2012, was rendered unable to walk after his battle with disease, according to the Huffington Post. However, that didn’t deter him to try his best to fulfil his dream. During the wedding preparations, Ralph underwent tough rehabilitation sessions with nurses and physiotherapists to strengthen his legs.

But nobody had a clue about what he was up to except for the people treating him and the wedding’s DJ. We advise you to bring out your tissues as this video will not leave you with dry eyes.
