Mohanlal, Gautami roped in for a trilingual

The yet-to-be titled flick is a trilingual
Actress Gautami, who made a comeback to Kollywood with the Kamal Haasan-starrer Papanasam, will be teaming up with Malayalam actor Mohanlal. Rumours are abuzz that the yet-to-be titled flick is a trilingual, to be made in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. We hear that the film would be a family entertainer and Mohanlal has given more than 20 days to the makers for the slot. Both of them have acted together in the Malayalam hit film His Highness Abdullah in 90s and if everything goes as planned, both will team up after a hiatus of 18 years. Their last outing was Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar in 1997. It’s being said that Mohanlal and Gautami will be playing important roles in National award-winning filmmaker Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s untitled Telugu directorial venture as well. The director himself wrote this on his Facebook page. “I’m glad to announce that I will be working with one of the great actors in India Mohanlal garu and Gautami garu in the lead (sic).”
Sources told us that the actress is yet to sign the dotted lines but talks are on. To be produced by Sai Korrapati, the project is expected to go to sets in the third week of November. This is the second Telugu project Mohanlal has signed this year after agreeing to do a cameo in the film Nuvve Na Pranamani, featuring a host of debutants.
