All is not well between Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor
Mumbai: Ever since the promotions of ‘Shaandaar’ began, everyone’s been wondering why Karan Johar is not around to promote his own film? Well, if reports are anywhere to be true, things are not quite well between film’s producer, Karan and film’s actor, Shahid.
Yes, according to 9xe, Shahid Kapoor is the reason why Karan told film’s director Vikas Bahl that he’ll not share stage with the actor and will promote ‘Shaandaar’ from far away. Reportedly, things turned ugly between foes-turned-friends-turned-foes-again during ‘Jhalak’. Rumour has it that Karan didn’t like Shahid’s constant interference in the show’s work.
Reports further reveal that Shahid wanted to be the major highlight of the show. Not only that but the actor also asked the makers to up his contract money mid-season, which they did and this did not go well with Karan. Soon, Karan got tired of ‘Jhalak’ and with the actor to an extent that he decided to walk out of the show. But since his contract with the show was already coming to an end, Karan decided to finish what he has started and stayed.
As soon as the contract got over, Karan flew to London to start with his film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s shooting, while his ‘Shaandaar’ promotions doubled up in full speed. We have seen actors flying in and out of countries, juggling between one project to another. So was it really not possible for Karan to pull some time out of his busy schedule for ‘Shaandaar’?
