Tirumala: Gaiety marks Bramhostavams fete
Lakhs of devotees thronged the templ
Tirumala: On the first day of Srivari annual nine-day Bramhostavams, the processional deity, Lord Malayappa Swamy, along with his two consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi sitting either side of him, rode atop Pedda Sesha Vahanam through the four mada streets around the shrine.
The deities decorated with flowers of various hues and ornaments studded with precious stones gave a visual feast to the devotees. Lakhs of devotees thronged the temple in thousands to catch a glimpse of Lord Malayappa Swamy and his consorts.
In the morning, Lord Malayappa Swamy was taken out through the mada streets on a ‘Bangaru Thiruchi vahanam’ in a colourful procession.
