CHENNAI: After the next Assembly poll, a government supported by third front will come to power in Kerala, SNDP vice-president Tushar Vellappally has said.
He was speaking at Chalakudy in a meeting organised to review the preparations of Samathuva Munneta Yathra scheduled to begin from Kasargod on November 23 and end at Thiruvanathapuram on December 5.
Tushar said the Ezhava community had been used as an vote bank by political parties and now the community would start demanding from these parties by forming a third front in which community organisations of both upper and backward castes would be part of.
"We are ready to support any political party which is ready to give us due representation," Tushar said. In the district, the yatra will be given reception at Thrissur town and at Chalakudy.
Thushar gave instructions to SNDP functionaries in Chalakudy and Mukundapuram to start working for the third front after the civic polls right from the booth level by joining hands with members of all communities, who were willing to be part of third front.
