PM tweeted that the 'process to declassify files will begin on January 23'

New Delhi: In a tactical move with an eye on next year’s Assembly elections in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised the family members of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on Wednesday that the files on the latter with the Centre would be declassified soon.
The PM’s commitment on the Bose files, which have been under wraps from before Independence, is seen as a move of epochal proportions and comes after West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee made public some secret documents last month.
The PM tweeted that the “process to declassify files will begin on January 23, which is the birth anniversary of Subhash Babu”.
