Watch: Why is Salman Khan’s next titled ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’? Find out here!
Mumbai: The moment the title of Salman Khan’s next film came out, a lot of people wondered what ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ really means. To ease everyone’s curiosity, the makers have released a video where we see film’s team breaking down the meaning of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.
In the video, the director reveals how he came up with the film’s unique title. Apparently, the title hit Sooraj Barjatya when he was meditating in the morning. First, Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Ram Ratan Dhan Payo’ popped up inside Sooraj’s head and then the word ‘Prem’ hit him. So it’s a little homage to the ‘Mira Bhajan’. The director went further on and said, “That’s what love for me is, what purity for me is. Whether it’s family, whether it’s love, so the title ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ came up in pure meditation.”
Film’s lead actor, Salman Khan feels that there’s no better title for the film than ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. “There is no better title for ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ than ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,’” Salman is heard saying in the video. Whereas Himesh Reshammiya says that only a person like Sooraj can dare to title a film as ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ in today’s world.
Well, the video didn’t just reveal the meaning of the film’s title and how eventually it came up but it also reveals some fun facts. Here are 7 facts that we learnt about ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and its director from the video:
