A fortyfive-year-old pillion rider died in an accident on Monday

Hyderabad: A fortyfive-year-old pillion rider died in an accident on Monday, while the bike rider escaped with minor injuries, as the vehicle rammed a wayside tree in Jawaharnagar area. Deceased Kasinath Thakur was a native of Chhattisgarh, who worked as a daily wage labourer and was staying with his family in Bolaram area. He is survived by wife and a son.


Around 12.30am Sunday night, Kasinath and his friend Tikkam Yadav were on their way to Yapral to meet a friend. Near the Hanuman temple, they had to travel through an unpaved road.“They took the CC road, which is the on the wrong direction. They could not control the bike, slipped, and rammed into a tree,” said Jawaharnagar SI Anil Kumar. Kasinath suffered severe injuries in stomach and died while undergoing treatment. Yadav escaped with minor injuries on his left foot. A case is being registered and the body was handed over to the family after postmortem. Police is investigating the case.
