8 farmers end life in Telangana
It was due to indebtedness and crop failure caused by drought
Hyderabad: Eight more farmers committed suicide in Telangana on Monday due to indebtedness and crop failure caused by drought. Five suicides were reported from Nalgonda district alone. In Nalgonda district, 55-year old Beelya Naik, a cotton farmer and resident of Chandampet mandal hanging himself to death.
Gaddam Haribabu, 32, of Kanagal mandal committed suicide by consuming pesticide. Bakka Satheiah, 48, from the same mandal ended life by consuming pesticide. Korra Bhanu, 40, of Damaracherla mandal committed suicide due to mounting debts.
Gavvala Yadagiri, 30, of Alair mandal committed suicide by consuming pesticide after he incurred losses in digging two borewells which failed. In Nizamabad district, Shivashetty Bhoomappa, 60, of Sadashivanagar mandal committed suicide by consuming pesticide.
In Warangal district, Elukatoori Shankar, 50, of Mogullapalli mandal, hanging himself to death. In Mahbubnagar district, Shekar Reddy, 52, of Pebbair mandal also hanged himself to death.
