This is the second time Amy will act under Shankar’s direction after 'I'
Mumbai: It was reported earlier that 'Robot 2' ('Enthiran' in Tamil), the sequel of sci-fi action thriller 'Robot', would start shooting in 2016 and that the makers are already in the stage of pre-production. Actor Rajinikanth who is currently busy with Pa Ranjith’s Kabali is expected to join the shooting by next year. The names of B’town actresses like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and few others were doing the rounds with respect to the romantic interest of the Lingaa star.
The latest is that Amy Jackson is the lucky girl who has landed the prestigious role! A picture of the British actress posing with two robotic structures posted by her, has been doing the rounds in social media and has led to this speculation. The grapevine has it that Hollywood costume designer Mary E Vogt who worked in Endhiran has been roped in for this film too, and that she’s already started working for Amy’s costumes. If everything goes well, this is the second time Amy will act under Shankar’s direction after the Vikram-starrer 'I'.
Meanwhile, we also heard that 'Robot 2', which is reportedly being planned in 3D, will have a few scenes shot in motion capture technology. The team has approached Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger to play baddie in the movie and the 'Terminator' actor, we hear, is yet to give his nod.
